She boasted of eliminating taxes as mayor in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. She also was a City Council member in the town and was chairman of the Alaska's Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which regulates oil and gas resources.

It will be interesting to see how the differences between McCain and her will play out. McCain is against drilling in Alaska and she is for it, for instance. Most running mates have to adapt the views of the presidential candidate.

This Must Be Said About Sarah Palin
Now I feel that this must be said before it is blown out of proportion. As the Democrats are all sounding off on Gov. Sarah Palin's lack of experience, the GOP will try to turn it around back onto Sen. Barack Obama. The key point I don't think people are seeing is, the Dem's aren't attacking her "Lack of Experience" they are attacking the Hypocritical views of Sen. John McCain and his newly Flawed campaign.

This is the key point that needs to be made, John McCain is the "Flip Flopper" as so etiquettely put by him in his smear campaign against Sen. Obama. The "Lack of Experience" needs not to be a factor, but we must see this last ditch effort by John McCain as how cynical he is, and he will do anything to keep the GOP in the white house.

As we all know, he has attack the experience of Sen. Obama time and time again, but in comparison, people see less experience in Gov. Palin.(That statement is up for debate.) Now I am not saying Palin's time as Gov is better of worse the Sen. Obama's time in senate, I'm saying Sen. McCain has no legs to stand on anymore after this choice.

I don't want to start a comment war over this posting but I want to let people know who the true "Flip Flopper" is in this historic campaign.

I, like all Alaskans, have been glued to the news media today, watching with amazement as Sarah Palin was tagged as McCain’s vice presidential running mate. Local radio talk shows are all a-buzz. The progressive station has a mixture of callers who are amused, horrified, and bewildered. The conservative station has a mixture of callers who are amused, enthusiastic, horrified and bewildered. No one is really sure how this happened, or what to make of it. Citing the fact that she was the mayor of Wasilla 2 years ago in her list of “executive experience” doesn’t even pass the giggle test in Alaska. Palin does have many supporters here in the state, but even many of them are doubting whether she can cut it in the Veep slot. A few callers have said they feel sorry for her, because they like her but she’s obviously being “used” and is way over her head. Local politicians are fiercely divided. Those who like her are generally appointees who are locally referred to as “Palin-bots” and have drawn comparisons to George Bush’s idealogical croneys. Many, Democrats and Republicans, are fierce opponents.

With all that have been said from some "THE PEOPLE" and I to sum up it up to: Gov. Palin is just being used by McCain's desperate to grab at the women's vote. It's insulting to women that he would think he could get away with that. There are some women that will vote for him just because of his VP choice, but there are others who actually have their own beliefs and opinions about the way that this country should be run and won't change them just to get a woman as VP. It's an insult to our intelligence!

Overachieving Alaska Governor Sarah Palin says she would much rather run for Vice President than take care of her husband and five children. In addition, she claims she actually wishes to be President.

Watch her words:

"F*ck 'em. Except for Trig, my kids are practically old enough to take care of themselves", Palin stated during a campaign rally. "I might give Trig to someone to look after for the rest of his life anyway. If I waited for them to grow up I might be waiting 20 years!"

Palin's children range in age from 18 years to 4 months. The youngest, Trig, has Down's syndrome. Her 17 year old daughter is pregnant.

Palin stated that she does not want to become an "ugly old hag" before she can even think about becoming President. "When McCain is elected I will be just one bullet away from becoming president myself!", she exuberantly stated.

Palin stated that she still firmly believes in traditional Republican family values but is willing to put her beliefs aside for the opportunity to become the most powerful woman in the world. She claimed that resentment toward McCain, his age and his overall poor health would make her likely to become President within one year after the election.

In her acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, Palin touted her accomplishments in laying more pipelines and creating more competition among oil companies as governor of Alaska.

I do appreciate Obama's thoughtful position in regard to Sarah Palin's 17 year old pregnant daughter (which is more than I can say for some of his supporters, who have been using the pregnancy as a means to smear Palin and her family).

First of all, it's preposterous to suggest that Palin is or was a bad parent simply because her daughter got pregnant outside of marriage. I can't imagine Palin has in any way encouraged her children to engage in risky and illicit behavior, and she certainly doesn't encourage teenagers in general to do so. Granted, her daughter used poor judgment, but she is now making a morally acceptable decision to keep the baby and get married (the other morally acceptable choice would, of course, be adoption).

Palin is absolutely correct in showing love and support for her daughter in this difficult time. Thus, there's nothing hypocritical about pro-life, pro-family conservatives rallying behind Palin.

Nor is it hypocritical for Palin to continue to speak out on family morals and values, just as it isn't hypocritical for remorseful post-abortive women to oppose legalized abortion.


So far I do not buy all these nonsense comment to run a country on the basis of mere experience. Bush had enough experience but just think what he did to US in terms of economy, pride and helping Pakistan with billions of dollar for F16 warplanes which would never be used against terrorists as Pakistani government's strongest wing ISI ( Stronger than the prime minister of Pakistan) is the mother of all terrorist training camps. I do not understand how dumbest Bush government could be for such decisions.

Mccain claims to be the most experienced politician to run for president and I found his very first decision to pick Palin as his running mate to be the dumbest decision he could take to nail his own coffin for white house just to get women votes. He thinks women votes could be casted in favor of Palin who supported Hillary against Obama. He does not know that those women are democrats and even if he tries hard he would merely get 10% of those votes who are gender biased for such an important decision to run the country.

So chill out guys! Government solely does not run by stupid experienced politicians but cool headed ones.

My comment here is that you Americans have to elect cool headed President and experienced vice president and your decision not only will course the future of America but also the whole world.

I am NO NO to Palin as VP of USA to save future of USA and the world.
