Gear knobs are removed in a number of ways 1. Unscrewed, simply twist the gear knob counter clock wise, 2. Undo the gear lever gator by removing the trim that surrounds it. Lift up the gator and locate a small grub screw or hex bolt and undo. 3. simply pull the gear knob off. 4 The gear knob may be moulded or bonded to the gear lever. In this case an aftermarket lever should be sourced.
