Have you ever have an experience of those reckless driver that hunk the horn on you because they are such in such a hurry, well the other day somebody did that to me, he crossed in front of me and almost hit me. And do you know what I did? with my hand I send him a kiss. He was surprised. Do you hold the door for the people behind you in the store or any place? When you do that. the next person will do it for you. As I remember when I was kid...

I make it a policy. I have friends from the very rich to the poorest of the poor; from very good athletes to completely disabled; from every group you might think about. Treat all with respect and be a friend.
Unless, of course, they give a bad answer on Askpedia. lol

To answer your Poll.... Yes I agree. Man it's hard sometimes but the "do unto others...." really leaves no gray area. I have worked for some real JEWELS in my life and it can be really really tough to be respectful at times. But I have always said "give them enough rope and they will hang themselves"... I don't need to be disrespectful to them... they will get was coming to them.

Absolutely. Do unto others.....Sometimes it's hard when they aren't respectful to me, but I still am respectful. It is how I was brought up.

I agree...I hope I follow the following:
The Six Pillars act as a multi-level filter through which to process decisions. So, being trustworthy is not enough — we must also be caring. Adhering to the letter of the law is not enough — we must accept responsibility for our action or inaction.

I have to disagree with this one.
I have all of the respect in the world for someone provided it's returned, but
if someone is going to treat me with disrespect they aren't worthy of my time or attention.

Yes because showing respect promotes an atmosphere in which others are more likely to accept you.
THE Scriptures tell us to “honor men of all sorts” and “to speak injuriously of no one.” (1 Pet. 2:17; Titus 3:2) Indeed, every human we meet has “come into existence ‘in the likeness of God.’” (Jas. 3:9) Each person is someone for whom Christ died. (John 3:16)

I don’t treat those with me poorly but treat everyone with respect from up the ladder to down the ladder because someday they may be my superiors and some days they may not, but they are still humans. My goal is to make genuine connections with the people I can count on.

I definitely agree ,and am a firm believer of "Give respect and take respect" policy.
If you wish to be treated dignity, first you must treat others with dignity. What you sow,is what you reap.
