Puppy passes blood after passing stool

Got a new puppy yesterday. They said he 1 set of puppy shots. I took the dog outside to go potty and after he pooped he had a few drops of blood. It wasn't in the stool as far as I can tell. I am very concerned that there is something very wrong with him. I have a vet appt for him next week. Whats wrong with him? Is the appt. to long to wait?

If all his vaccinations were completed then he could possibly just have a sensitive digestive system it should be gone in a few days if he doesn't try to give him a bland diet which consists of rice and meat but since he is a puppy he could have Parvo or hookworms have the vet check for that but in my opinion you could be feeding him the wrong amount of food it can also happen if the puppy chow is too rich for him!! try changing his diet! hope this helps your pup!...
