How do I discard unwanted face creams, body creams, body oils without harming the environment?

I surfaced the internet and was unable to find anything that relates to discarding unused comestic products. Personally, I will just discard any liquid products in the toliet by flushing it with some hot water and bleach. All other products, I just discard them in the trash.
However, I found this site to be interesting just in case that you are not aware of products that you are purchasing.
