I do not think either candidate knows much about the economy. I lean towards McCain because he has a lot more experience than Obama. I feel that if people do not like their jobs then they need to work towards finding a better one. I think the government does too much!!! On the other hand, he promised to tax the billions of dollars the big corporations are making of the people who are struggling to survive and not to take their money away . The president cannot create jobs but he sure can create laws to improve the life of the American people. For example, the foreign aid in billions going out to other countries could be wisely spent at home. The false wars created by the Bush administration cost the tax payers trillions of dollars. Imagine if that money was used wisely on improving our country and helping our people. The health care programs, the Social security, the education, the unemployed etc.. All of this wasted money could have put us in a great shape. Mr Bush gave me $600, I wanted a job with benefits for years to come and not few $$ to spend in a day or tow. Neither candidate understands economics very well. Mccain has espoused tax policy friendlier to business so that would point to him. However there is one more variable, the press. The press likes Obama better. Press has the power to a certain degree to affect opinion on the economy and thus steer the economy (thus the majority of Americans think the economy is in a recession when it is still the best in the world and only in a normal down cycle according to economists). Mccain's policies are better but the media is friendlier to Obama. So even though the economics favor Mccain, the results may not bear out the same.
