I am a recruiter and do ask this interview question.
What I would want to hear are some examples of when you had to prioritize your work load - papers, exams, etc. - how you decided what required an A, B or C status (or 1, 2, 3 level priority) and how you stayed on track to get everything done. Did you determine it based on syllabus, your familiarity with the task (oh, I know that so it won't take me long to do it), if you were struggling with a concept and needed to spend more time studying it, etc.
You should than say that you would employ the same strategy to your job because it was successful for you in school.
