Why my pc can't detect the hard disk ?

When I turn on my pc, the pc always want to boot on a cd. I installed already the program on a hard drive. When i tour on a system bios and cmos, the specification of the hard disk didn't display even the amount of disk space used didn't displayed.And the ram which contains two 128 ddr it only displays one but there were two 128 ddr installed in the pc.

I take it you have a PATA hard drive, is the hard drive set to Master Slave or Cable Select and also is it on the same ribbon cable as the cd rom drive?

As for your ddr not showing take one stick out and see if the memory total changes in the BIOS.
