mature German shepherd nutrition. What is the healthist food you can feed.

what is the best dog food for a 3yr. old german shepherd. How much should she be feed and how often.

I got her from animal control and I want to do what is best for her. She is skin bones.. I am feeding her petagree dry 2cups plus a chicken thigh and chicken broth over the dry, 3 times a day. (is that too much?)

She will probably eat just about anything that is cooked and has fat in it as she needs that, but don't overlook that dogs love fish. Mix a can of Mackeral in with dry dog food and she'll like the bowl. A fresh egg mixed in is good nutrition.

Never give her chocolate. It is bad for dogs. They love the taste, but it causes digestive problems....

It depends on her weight but I hope that chicken thigh is boneless. Chicken bones tend to splinter and can be dangerous for the dog to eat. There should be a chart on the back of the bag of dog food that tells you the proper amount to give her.
