Why does the body nautrally produce endorphins?
I know that the brain will produce more in times of extreme pain, and child birth etc.
But why does the brain produce a level of these little buggers daily?
My father is of the opinion that it is simply painful to live.
He claims that once a body becomes used to heightened levels of opiates, the brain will cease to produce it's daily dose of endorphins.
Hence withdrawal when opiate intake ceases.
I have my doubts, and would love some oppinions on the matter.
Cheers.
