There are lots of usefulness of internet.You can find about each and everything here.
I am sure it will be very much difficult initially to ban the interent which had for long played an important role.But,as time goes on,you will continue to live your own happy life even with out the internet.

Listen to downloaded musics and watch movies.
Also do some works on words and excel when need to.

Well... if your Internet connection is down, first check your Router. Sometimes a cable is unplugged and you can merely plug it back in and go back to surfing. Other times you would have to turn the router on or off (kind of like restarting it) and let the network do its thing. If that doesn't work, you'd have to get technical. If your computer shares a connection with others in your house, make sure they are all on the same Workgroup. I don't know how to explain that in text, so good luck...

I am really old and grew up without even television, so I wouldn't mind too much.
However we could probably get together a 100 million man march on Washington and demand that they get it restarted. Wouldn't that be fun?
I have a slow computer and it comes to a halt often. My internet is gone and then I try to fix it.

I would probably die. At first anyway, I'm very dependant on the internet...but I have a lot of hobbies, like I like to paint, draw, read, write, etc, that I would just do those things instead. OH and video games! :D
