I don't know if this is the same game, but here goes!

Play with 2 to 4 decks including jokers. After you deal you turn one card up. The first player can take the card that's turned up and the top card on the stack or just the top card on the stack. Then they must dis-card. If they take only the card from the stack, the exposed card becomes a free card for the other players to take, in player order. If they take it they must take the top card on the stack also. You can lay down your cards as soon as you have the required hand for each level and discard one card. As others lay down their cards you may play your remaining cards on their cards if they will play. If you discard a playable card you must draw 3 cards from the stack. Once a player goes "out" all other players must count the points they still have in hand. Lowest point count at the end of the game wins.

Card points:

2-9 = 5 points each
10 - King = 10 points each
Ace = 20 points each
Joker = 50 points each

K= 2-3 card sets (deal 7 cards to each player)
1st = 1-3 card set 1-4 card run *same suit* (deal 8 cards to each player)
2nd = 2-4 card runs *same suit* (deal 9 cards to each player)
3rd = 3-3 card sets (deal 10 cards to each player)
4th = 2-3 card sets 1-4 card run (deal 11 cards to each player)
5th = 1-3 card set 2-4 card run *same suit* (deal 12 cards to each player)
6th = 3-4 card runs *same suit* (deal 13 cards to each player)
7th = 2-3 card sets 1-7 card run *same suit* (deal 14 cards to each player)
8th = 1-set of 3 1-11 card run *same suit* (deal 15 cards to each player)
9th = 3-3 card sets 1-6 card run *same suit* (deal 16 cards to each player)
10th = 1-4 card sets 2-6 card runs *same suit* (deal 17 cards to each player)
11th = 2-5 card sets 1-7 card run *same suit* (deal 18 cards to each player)
12th = 1-7 card set 1-12 card run *same suit* NO DISCARD! (deal 19 cards to each player) You must lay all cards down at the same time.

This answer took me 3 full days to try to remember, so I could be WAY off. And it may be the wrong game!! I have some family that I can ask for help if I need to. I just want to know if I'm on the right track.
