divorce

is there divorce in the philippines? coz my grandma is wondering how come did she and my grandfa divorced without her consent? without any signature or information. we got to the u.s. embassy and employee said that there is the document submitted by my grandfather saying and proving that they are annuled.

my grandfather isa retired u.s. navy and he left my grandma more or less than 30 years without any support from him. is there anything that we can do?

please help my grandma

There is not divorce, but there is annulment. It is a very expensive process.
With annulment there is very little one can do. It is considered as if the marriage never happened.
