How do I get my stolen merchandise back from a pawn shop?
Asked by: kimberrdh from -
$800.00 charm bracelet was stolen from my home yesterday. I have reason to believe my ex husband broke into my home and stole it. About a month ago he stole my brand new leaf blower from the outside shed. Confronted him and he admitted to taking it and pawning it but said he would get it back or replace it. Still no leaf blower. I went to local pawn shop where I assumed my bracelet is probably at. They would not give me any info, so I went to the police station and filed a police report. Supposed to pick up copy of police report tomorrow. I am hoping with police report in hand, the pawn shop will have to let me know if bracelet is there and who pawned it. I can positively identify my bracelet because my childrens names and dates of birth are on back of 2 of the charms. Do you think the pawn shop will return my stolen bracelet, and if it was pawned by my ex, what legal action can be taken against him?

Your ex is in big trouble! If you can prove that the bracelet he pawned is yours, you will get it back! Your ex will be charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and sale of stolen property He could do jail time for these offenses! Let's hope he learns his lesson the hard way! Good luck!
