grow oak tree from a seed.

I live in southern ontario and have a large field on the back of my house. I want to fill the area with oak and maple trees. In june, I collected few oak and maple seeds from the trees in my area.
Please advise what is the best way to grow an oak and maple trees from the seeds.

You can grow trees from seeds, but it's not as easy as it sounds! You pack the seeds in peat moss in refrigerator bags, and keep them in your fridge for two or three months! Then you pot them indoors, and they grow into saplings. In the spring, you transplant these saplings to the areas in your yard where you want the trees located. You have to tend to these saplings often until their roots spread out in the underlying soil. Most of them will take root, but you may lose some, so plant more that the number of trees you r...

Make sure the seeds are very dry then just shove them into the freezer for 2 weeks. (in a bag or bowl with nothing else added ) Then propogate seeds in a good mix in a warm place. If a warm place isn't possible that doesn't matter, it will just take longer thats all..When the seedlings are a couple of inches high pot on seperatly and they will be ready for fertiliser. When they are at least 1 foot high then go planting , with big holes filled with good potting mix.This rule applys to any tree and really is quite simple....
