small winged bug with bee like appearenc

it looks like it has two small wings off the back and there looks like a longer wing that hang past body. Body has a reddish look to it with thin black leggs. small head with a purperlish look right below the back of head. I felt a stinging sensation on stomach a when I felt that area it was this bug on me biting or stinging me. Small red spot at bite. bite area is still very red and irratating. never seen a bug like this before,. At first it look like a spider with wings. I was out earlier triming a yellow holly tree.

It's what's commonly called a horsefly. It stings a bit when it bites, but more of a burning sensation. You'll notice a red spot, which is itchy and sore, and often a pinhole mark in the centre of the red area. These are sometimes called deerflies, depending on where you live.
