Television is great! So is the off button on my T.V. remote! I'm turning it off a lot more than I used to, so there's a lot more crap than there used to be. I think that's a good thing! People don't veg out in front of the damn thing as much as they used to! Good question!

tv is good if you limit how much you watch it.I've seen people plonk their kids in front of it all day and that is damaging to them.We watch some tv and sometimes have a game of canasta or chess or listen to music. If you invite friends over it's very rude to have the tv going as it's a distraction.So i'd say it can be good if you want it to be and evil if you let that happen.

Every thing in this world if become in excess, then it is always evil. TV is for the entertainment and knowledge. If one is using it for the entertainment then there should be a limit for that and if one is using for the knowledge then automatically there will be limit on that. Now-a-days, all the tv channels are professional. Channels do not show any kind of social responsibility. So we can conclude that, we should watch the tv, but there must be some limit to watch it.

Some say they are “TV addicts.” Though they want to reduce that time or quit the habit, they can’t. They sacrifice important social and family activities and they suffer withdrawal symptoms when they abstain. All these symptoms can occur in people who watch a lot of television.
“The eating of too much honey is not good,” wrote wise King Solomon. (Proverbs 25:27) The same principle applies to TV viewing. Though television offers much that is worthwhile, heavy viewing can cut into family time, hinder reading and academic performance in children, and contribute to obesity. If you invest a great deal of time in watching TV, it is smart to think about what you are getting in return. Our time is too precious to waste. It is also smart to think about what we watch.
