I left sealed milk and sealed can of whipped cream in car for 6 hours. Safe?
|
I left two cartons of sealed milk and sealed can of whipped cream in car in warm garage for six hours. They smell fine and I tasted the milk and it tasted fine. Is it unsafe or will it just go bad quicker? I am very cautious about food, but, for instance, who knows how long eggs are left in the coop before they're packaged and refrigerated. And I know some people leave butter at room temperature I want to be cautious, but not paranoid.

The milk and cream will go bad quicker, and remember that sour milk or cream can't really harm you like other spoiled foods can! When it looks and tastes bad, throw it out!

I was in Costa Rica last year and they don't even refrigerate eggs in the store. They are located on the shelf in the can goods section. Blew my mind... it was that way at all stores not just one or two.
As far as the milk - just keep checking. I would hate for you to ruin a good dish with sour milk.
