Cat and Dog conflict!!!
|
I have 2 pets.A cat and dog.My cat came first and he is about 9 years old.And has always been very special to me.And a very good pet as far as cats go.We always would spend time together and play cat games every day.I love him very much. Then because I could not say no to a friend(that kept pestering me)to take one of his puppy's.I gave in and took one.He is 7 months old now.Very smart dog and loveable.Blue Healer.Any way he is jealous of any one that I talk to or have contact with.Including my cat.I can not do or say anything to my cat, without him coming and being right in the middle of it.Well my cat was willing to put up with the dog, until a couple days ago the dog went after the cat and they both were running full gear. Now my cat does not come around much at all.And I really feel bad and miss seeing him.I might catch a glimse of him once a day. This is his home also. What can I do to teach my dog that the cat has just as many rights to be with me (if not more) as the dog does?I don't want my cat to think he is no longer wanted. But hasn't been around a whole lot in the pass couple of days, because of the dog.I mean he is outside doing his thing but he always comes in the house for some play, food and napping. But not lately.Any advise would be appreiciated.Thank you.

Don’t feel bad about hurting his feeling; he needs to know you are in charge. I don’t think he (or) she will hold a grudge. And as for your cat, be extra loving to him when the dogs around and ignore the dog. When the cat’s not around, give affection to the dog. B...
