PENSION PAYOUTS
Asked by: sharonclaassen from -
I have been ensued in a legal battle with the SA Police Service for some time. I lost my case against them. I have been booked off sick by a psychiatrist, yet they stopped my salary in 2005. Now they have informed me that my services will be terminated. My question is, how long can they legally take to pay my pension money and are they entitled to deduct any monies owed to them?. I still received salary in 2004 and they have yet to grant that sick leave. If they do not grant that sick leave period, I will have to repay them for that year's salary. Are they allowed to just deduct it from my pension money?
