If someone does not speak grammatically correct, and they use alot of slang, then they do not speak well. That's it. The way I see it, people just plain TALK in whatever way is comfortable for them. When we start to critique one's talking habits and decide what may be a "white" or "black" way of speaking, we are only stepping backwards.

The only thing I have noticed about Obama's speaking skills is that he can speak English.

I agree with every one here and when you talk black it means you use slang and things like that and when you talk white you talk without slang and without words a black person would use, there are some differences you just have to compare then!!

When Bob Marley's first movie came to America it had subtitles because Jamicains spoke at 200 words per minute compared to (at that time) American 100 to 150 words per minute. In Slavery times the English learned was a mixture of Scottish-Irish-English because these were the crewmen aboard during those very long voyages. Because there were so many different ethnic groups enslaved it was easier to adopt the sailor's language than to learn 20 or more "native" languages.
Today, a member of a American subculture may find it frustrating to try to communicate with another from a different set of slang. However,it just means they may be part of a different subculture. The reason for "standard English is so we can communicate. But try your American english in some other English speaking countries and be amazed that they may not understand you at all!!

Yet so far we have shirked our responsibility to create a better world for ourselves and posterity. We let ourselves be tricked by a culture that claims to be politically perfect and refuses to be improved. It applies every trick of spin, ideology, and theater to suspend our natural belief in reality.

Racism is a prime example of spin that hurts everyone. Biology proves that humanity has only one race, the human race. Racism is a gimmick used by oppressors to divide people with common interests. This lie was fabricated for the sole purpose of justifying the atrocities of slavery.
