Father getting Alzheimer's. This began in my final year of school and it rattled me a lot. He had been a searing intellect and his joys were reading, classical music, Spanish, German and chess. It was devastating for all concerned. He stopped breathing 18 years later but he effectively died long before then.

Mother moving to be near us seven years ago. It was nice to have her around again although it;s true she was getting a little cantankerous. A former teacher she loved being with our sons and did a lot with them, especially the younger boy who is on the autism spectrum. She died last year.

The first one was when my mother got re-married. It had just been the two of us, since I was 5, then she got re-married when I was 17. We had to move to another state, and I had this instant family. It changed my whole life. I wasn't used to having 2 parents around and siblings. I learned alot about life then.

The first one was when my mother got re-married. It had just been the two of us, since I was 5, then she got re-married when I was 17. We had to move to another state, and I had this instant family. It changed my whole life. I wasn't used to having 2 parents around and siblings. I learned alot about life then.

The second was when my first husband and I divorced. I married him at the young age of 22. I went from my parents' house to his house, so I had never been on my own before. So there I was, on my own for the very first time in my life, with a 5 year old child. The strange thing is, I had my daugher at 23, the same age as my mom. I also divorced my husband at 29-the same age my mother was when she divorced my Dad! I was 5 when my mom divorced-my daughter was 5 when I divorced her Dad! She was 10 when I re-married though, so no everything's the same, but pretty darn close!

The third pivotal moment was when I got re-married. It had just been my daughter and me for 5 years and all the sudden, we moved and had an instant family. My daughter went from an only child to having siblings and 2 parents, just like I did!! My life has changed ,in the past 2 years. I have experienced many changes in myself and my life. There are actually more pivotal points, but you only wanted three, so there ya go!!!

1. When my grand ma whom I loved so much passed away and I could not attend her funeral as my dad was nervous to inform me as I was in college and was 1000 miles far away.

All these three events still hurts me deep inside.

Slow Down: Don’t try to do everything at once in 95 miles per hour speed. Multi-tasking is great, but it is very difficult to be excellent in every single areas of my life. Focus on one thing at a time. My heart, myr voice...

Perseverance: Don’t give up. There is no get rich quick scheme.

Change Fast: When things go wrong, don’t dwell on it. Move on and change my strategy and direction fast

Take Risk: No Risk No Gain

Stretch / Growth: If you are not growing, you are dying. Always stretch yourself to learn new things.

Never a problem: Everything has a solution. Don’t think you only have problems, find solutions

Choose the right partners: Fire them if you need to.

Self Identify: Everything is an illusion. Pick the one that is fun. Choose your own identity. Don’t let investors to set your values for you.

Build Emotion Equity: When approaching investors or buyers, help them and build emotional equity with them. Make sure they want your venture to succeed as much as you do. (Never had enough money to this:-))

Life equals the people you meet plus what you create together. Build the connection and community with everyone around you. With all of this being said, my life has went on to become a mother and wife.

well i dont know wat pivotal means but.....im thinkin big events....so...being adopted.....abused/raped.......foster home.....i donno if thats wat ya want but oh well

Working as a financial analyst for someone else convinced me that I wanted to be self employed and in the health area. I chose a profession where I could have a good family life. A true pivotal decision because I could see that the likely result would be to get promoted to managerial location where you could not produce a profit and get fired just before retirement. That was a common outcome in those days.

Deciding to locate in a smaller community was pivotal for raising a family.

Next pivot will be to consolidate houses and move to a larger community,
