from height of 8 meter a ball fell down and each time it bounces half the distance back .what will be the distance tranvelled?

8=>4=>2=>1=>0.5=>0.25=>....
so, first three bounces will give you the distance of 8+4+2=12
after that you have series of form:
1+(1/2) +(1/4) + ...
...

You never said how many times it bounces so i got 8 then 4 then 2 then 1 then 1/2 and so on so the total would be about 15 and 1/2!!
