The problems that You face are needing an Inverter, to convert the 12V socket into a mains plug.

They cost a bit, depending on how many Watts output You want.

Apparently, a 1000W Mains ring inverter, is a mains ring inverter, which is curious, When You think that a gaming PC's power supply can have a 600W rating.

So, after You hook all of that stuff together, You'll probably find; it would be less expensive to simply go to B&Q, (www.diy.com,) and get one that ties into the grid to do whatever You wanted to do with it.
(For under £4,000, they've come down in price dramatically.).

However, that system would probably work if You're at a site that is off the grid, for example a garage, or some shed out in a field, miles away from any civilisation.
