If YOU were answering a poll "black or white" what the first thing comes to your mind?
Is the asker being "racist" or just being curious what color you like? The asker doesn't give any reason for his question.
In my opinion, the asker is just being curious what color I like.
For some reason, when these two colors (black or white) are use, people read more into it but they don't read more into other colors. This is just my 2 cents. :-)

I was thinking of Day and Night.
And I hardly doubt that the questions will ever arouse Black and White Human question ( racism ) in my Mind. And If someone consider the questioner as a Racist is himself a racist for U r what U think. Not what anyone else present.

When I read the question, I thought it meant - 'There are no grey areas concerning the subject - it's either black, or white!' Race didn't even cross my mind! If it was a survey, I would have assumed it meant 'which is your favorite clothing color?' Mine is black! (very slimming).

black is my favorite color, even though my early schoolteachers said it didn't count as a color. When someone asks black or white, I think colors first, then my mind starts to warp around all the perspectives of those I've met or listened to, and I start to see the other possibilities for the question, including race as a #2. and if it was a race question, I dont have a preference, all colors of women are hot, and all colors of guys are cool(but never hot)...

Well, its different for each person. Like say a kid is reading this, colors would probably come to his mind at first glance. It varies from reader to reader. Say a person to who deals with these types of issues on a day to day basis, race may come to his mind first.
But from the given question, those are just two colors and unless further details are given, I would just treat them as that :)...

First, I would think it is a personality question or a fashion question.
One thing the presidential race has proven is there is not enough racism left in the country to effect the outcome a lot. But the agitators will try to stir it up again.
Next,if I thought the asker was politically astute, I would think they were asking if you thought moral opinions were black and white as a conservative or shades of gray as a liberal. OK. So I have been listening to too much...

It depends on person to person. We can not say it as a racist question. Black or white can be color of any other thing beside skin color. Even if some one asks about skin color you can not say it is racist remark unless it has been pinpointed that way.

WHILE ANSWERING A POLL THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MY MIND IS THE ANSWER TO THAT POLL.RACISM CAN NEVER CROSS MY MIND .I'M NOT BOTHERED THAT WHAT COLOUR IT IS. BLACK AND WHITE ARE COLOURS IMPARTED TO MAN BY GOD.WE SHOULD NOT IMPUTE DEEP MOTIVES TO THEM.THEY ARE EQUAL TO ME.
