I SUPPOSE THE SIZE OF THE FISH MATTERS WHEN DEALING WITH QUANTITY....

Yes, they need to, in order to maintain their internal ion/water balance (osmoregulation). Marine fish have to drink constantly to avoid dehydration; they have special cells in their gills to excrete the excess chloride.
