In most states any vehicle over 10,000 pound weight requires a CDL to operate the truck on the road. If you are going to be using it ONLY on your own property without driving it on the road no lic is needed.

Warnings:

Always if operating the boom put the outriggers down or the truck could tip over. If you have an noninsulated boom you are required to stay away from power lines. Keep all people away from the truck when near any power lines as they can be killed if touching the truck while they are on the ground. Remember power lines have NO insulation on them just the drops to houses which may be in bad shape and/or bare spots!!
