Who's more important to YOU Family or Friends? why?

For me both are because family and friends are are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts.

I like your analogy. It fits.
Family is more important because the level of support could be higher. You help both, but the things you might need to do for family could involve a lot more effort.

My best friends are my family. I have a lot of friends but I only have 3 people in my life that aren't blood related, but I'd do anything for them. My fiancee Sean and my 2 best friends Simone and Jason. They are family in my eyes. That doesn't mean that I don't respect or love my other friends, some of them I have known for years and wold do anything in my power to help them if they were ever in trouble. But they would still take second place if anything happened to my family....

It's a difficult one-SOME of my family are important to me, but ALL of my real friends are.
Family are people who have been chosen for me, friends are the people I pick myself. At the risk of sounding like Forrest Gump, your family are like a box of chocs, there's some of your favourites and others you hate (coffee creams for me I'm afraid!), whereas your friends are a pick n mix- all of the ones you like! (occasionally with a bit of fluff stuck to them)...
