Damaged throat Lining
Asked by: Alice from -
Post nasal drip has caused a damaged throat lining. Will it ever heal? If I eat anything slightly acidic I have a terribly painful throat the next day with nausea. I had an operation 3 years ago to correct post nasal drip but would love to know if throat lining will ever heal or if there have been any medical advances that will heal it.

Try gargling warm water mixed with salt to help heal the tissue.
Drink lots of alkalinized water and avoid very acidic food.

A painful throat with nausea are usually symptoms of tonsillitis.
