well, ive been seeing this guy off and on for YEARS and we did date and live together for 1 year. hes now in detox to try to make himself better. i, on the other hand, have been visiting with my neighbour. he knows that i am seeing this guy. things lately have been getting close with this neighbour. My question is..... is it taboo for a woman to see both men at the same time? if its ok, when should i have to make the decision to break it off with one of them? i like them both fairly equally. neighbour i am just getting to know and the guy i have been seeing i know everything about him. whats a girl to do?

When you say "see" both of them, do you mean "shag" both of them?

I'd say if you "see" both men at the same time, then none of them is good enough for you :-)

Its definetely unfair to see bo that the same time ( Think about how you would feel). It sounds to me that your uncertainty shows your not quite in the right relationship- why not try being single and then see what develops naturally -perhaps neither are them are right for you or you may develop someting with your neighboar. Either way this should not be forced or be a reaction to you being in an unstable relationship. Enjoy a caring friendship first and then see what happens.........

See both guys at the same time! Think of all the men out there who have multiple girlfriends and booty calls at the same time. As long as both guys are aware that they are not the only one then you are fine. Take your time. Play the field. Maybe get another one too.....I've always said the more choices available, the better to choose from. You don't even have to "pick" one in the end....just do what makes you happy and what is right for you. If they don't like it or enjoy the situation, they can leave....

You should deal with this situation as soon as possible because if the one in Detox finds out he could start drinking again and a confrontation could be made. You know the effects of alcohol right, then you know he could do something that he will regret for the last of his years in prison although i don't think it could lead to that but you never know. What you should do is to finish off the neighbor relationship and be with the other one ,if he starts to drink again after his treatment then quit with him and go to the ...
