Which commercial drivers must log?

I work as a hot shot driver for a local trucking company. I only drive a 1/2 ton pick-up. However, because I have a class "c" cdl with a hazmat endorsement some say I am required to log. I can't get an answer from my terminal and cannot find anything in hazmat regulations. Are there any drivers out there that may be able to clear this up for me. Thanks a lot for any info.

I have a class A with Hazmat and I would suggest you call your local driver's lic office in your state and ask what your state and the US DOT requirements are on the log book. If you travel across state lines make sure you tell them that and the max distance from your terminal. There is a good chance they will have to research the info and call you back.
