1 yr. old in a youth bed

Would it be OK for a 1yr. old to sleep in a youth bed? There would be protection around the bed if he would climb out and of course surrounding areas child proof. This situation would be for visitation rights.

Personally, I would say yes. A lot of times, my nephew also slept on the bed like that, surrounded with pillows when he came over. But be sure the room is baby-proof.

I would put pillows all around it.. but rails need to be used to keep the kid safe.It should be much closer to the ground in fact maybe 6 inches as opposed to several feet by the time they climb up the rail and over.
If you do let them sleep in the youth bed make sure the room is very baby-proofed. Kids roll out, get up or just because they are curious.
