My husband is a wonderful person, however, he only likes to spend money on things he likes for me, not the things I like. He said I don't have any taste, he doesn't understand that the things I select make me happy and the things he buys me do not appeal to me. What can I do besides talk gently to him. He seems to feel his way is best and will not change, I guess if he's paying for it, he has the right, but I thought a man should try to make the woman happy. Example, he'll buy me jewelry he bought from a consignment store and just bring it home without me knowing anything about it and I should be happy about it, even if I don't like his taste, he says I'm an ingrate. This could apply to anything, clothes, purses, shoes. He recently purchased without me being there a 3 karate princess cut diamond (again from a consignment store) that was H color, he admits he made a mistake later in the grade and spent $15,000.00 and selected it with his colored glasses on. I felt bad but the color was so yellow I just didn't like it and he couldn't get his money back. I attempted to put the stone on a gold color setting, but it didn't look good. Then I attempted to use the stone on a setting with other diamonds on it, compared to the other stones it only enhanced the poor quality. What is a girl to do? Go around wearing a ring poor in color just to make him happy? I really mean obviously poor in color. What drives me crazy is that he actually asked me about a month prior what was more important to me, color or quality? I answered Color and yet he purchased what he wanted.

Obviously there are worst things in the world, I just hate that he wastes money like that. When I could of done something much better with it.
