I recommend putting traps, large bowls of fresh water outside your traps. A good tempting treat for inside is Tuna in oil which stays more "stable" in various tempatures, Sardines from a can, Canned Chicken or better - hot fresh chicken with the skin peeled off. Try putting GREAT luck with hot french fries tossed into the back end of the trap. Something about the fresh hot chicken or fries draws the cats into the back end where they can get caught.

Don't give up! It may take 2-3 weeks normally before anyone may see your cat, and they usually will NOT come when called - they are in scared, hiding mode to stay alive so don't recognize your voice as safety anymore.

Every night just before sunset remember to put out your fresh water (outside all traps), and fresh food and treaties (a small TASTE) inside - Use small paper plates to place their treats on inside near the back 3/4th of the trap... Also put 1 tiny taste of each treat on a plate (or in a bowl) just outside the front of the trap - this is for them to just get a TINY taste before they are tempted to walk into your trap.

No, cats don't run away! They run to mate, fight (males unneutered especially), or in fear from a dog, but don't just leave because they are mad :-)

Your cat is a semi-feral, born to a feral mom but brought up around humans, so won't go back to its feral status.

When you have time... sit up and watch your trap and food station from after sunset till sunup - you should see several cats coming by? That is GOOD, as cats will lead others in the area to free food stations. Just keep it up and you'll have your cat back home inside in no time! She has not gone very far - in my opinion, she is within 1/2 mile of you home hiding very well somewhere.

but also crinkling up the foil from cigarette packs, then roll in your hands,,
cats love that sound,, (or are very curious)

Try using catnip all cats love catnip!.Put it in a baggie a fair amount,or in a small bowl,that should get him or her to sniff it out, and once they know it is catnip they will start to eat it, then just as it is almost finished eating the catnip,you can pick the cat up.
