I recommend putting traps, large bowls of fresh water outside your traps. A good tempting treat for inside is Tuna in oil which stays more "stable" in various tempatures, Sardines from a can, Canned Chicken or better - hot fresh chicken with the skin peeled off. Try putting GREAT luck with hot french fries tossed into the back end of the trap. Something about the fresh hot chicken or fries draws the cats into the back end where they can get caught.

Try using catnip all cats love catnip!.Put it in a baggie a fair amount,or in a small bowl, that should get him or her to sniff it out, and once they know it is catnip they will start to eat it, then just as it is almost finished eating the catnip, you can pick the cat up.
