What determines whether you look good or not?
Asked by: kc5255 from PHILADELPHIA, PA
Some people are attractive, some are less. What is it about them that makes them look good, and does it not?
I know that a symmetrical face tends to look better than an asymmetrical, but what else is there?
Is there certain patterns that your face must match in order to look attractive?

It is not the shape of face or color of their eyes. Looking good has to do with feeling good and the confidence the person has. People are attracted to others that give off an aura of confidence. The better one feels about themselves reflects in their attitude around others If someone feels good about themselves then they feel good about their life, the people in it, and this in turn makes others take notice of them. They are like "Hey what is up with that guy, why is he so happy?" People like to be around hap...

I firmly believe that looking good is directly proportional to how you see yourself, self esteem, your self worth dictates how others perceive you. it is true that symmetrical features are a plus but not necessarily a guarantee that puts you at the top list as attractive. there are times when you look at a couple and think 'what does he see in her?', plain jane from afar but as you get closer and get to talking you realize that her beauty surpasses physical attributes and see further that people respond and are drawn mo...

A perfectly symmetrical face does not look good. You can prove this to your self by using any of the programs on the net that divide your face in half and then flip it and see that either of the images do not look good.
When doing, for instance, a facial reconstruction and have the person like the result, the first consideration is ethnicity. There are a lot of ratios to consider, too many to go into here, and they vary slightly by race. You can consult books with the points of the face named. The nomenclature is ...

I'm going to have to say, attitude. Some people are attractive but they just don't take care of themselves properly. And I've seen poeple who may not be so attractive to todays social acceptance, but they carry themselves, dress, and want better things for themselves. I'm not a male model, but I'm not a geek either, but it's how I present myself to the public when I have a suit on and I have speak to groups or just one person that makes me feels good....

Attractiveness is purely down to the person looking at you, as they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" just because an individual may have a perfectly symmetrical face may not mean they're attractive to everybody.

I think we need to take care of our outer self by eating healthy, exercising and pampering ourselves. However, everyone is as attractive as they feel inside. Love yourself for who you are not what you look like or what others thing. Everyone has something beautiful about them in my eyes.
