only after cereful and successful deductions can the audience conclude the true happenings. The rest are confused perceptions, as anticipated by the scheme of the magician and the confoundment of the audience., but the elicitation of those perceptions in a well planned and rehearsed magic trick are a predictable fact for the magician as well as the factual knowledge of
what actually occurred.

it's all about how you look at it, the Native Americans saw the white men point a stick at an animal then came a loud sound and the animal died. . .it would have seemed to them a "cause and effect that result in predicted facts"
