if it is xanax, that will be imprinted on the small oval white table (not scored) Vicodin is fatter , scored deeply on one side and the other side says vicodin. If they are generic, it is best to grab one and take it to the pharmacist for a professional opinion. If your child is doing or dealing in prescription drugs, he is heading down a very bad road. goofy12, it depends on the mg & if its generic brand too. i take xanax 2 mg & its a long thin white tablet. and vicotin is a round white tablet,depending again on mg's. take one of each to your pharmacist for his answer on this for you. and if he is, have a talk with him about them & what he is doing with them!! goodluck, midnite6433
