Not that it matters and I doubt you really even give a flying schit but I try and answer only the ones that are FUN and the ones I really feel like I can benefit someone with my answer. There are the ones that are absolutely stupid that I read where I HAVE to respond just because they're so damn ridiculous, but c'mon, those retards are begging for me to answer them. As for the money ones I think just this week is the only time I've ever even answered one. My meger .30 is from me asking questions myself.

Where do you get off condemning a site that you obviously know nothing about? The experts here have helped thousands of people! There are a lot of fun questions, and we have fun with them! We take serious questions very seriously - not for money, best answers, compliments or comments! There are intelligent, caring people here trying to help others and no expert here puts anyone down for their lack of intelligence! Your questions were answered! What more do you want? Hang on a minute before you judge us all the same.I do my best to help with good answers on this site.I am hopeless at a lot of the subjects but do my best at the ones i feel confident with. I also go into fun for a good laugh as I need that and if someone else gets a laugh too then it is worth while. I don't answer all the money Q's as they are too hard for me anyway. But sometimes I have a simple answer,knowing that I will never win anyway, but I just like to pop in my point of view. The thumbs up thing is great but I have to agree with you,some people use it to just suck up to others. I go my merry way and ignore all the bullshit and hopefully you can too. There are heaps of nice and helpful people on the site.

Before I responded to your rant, I took a minute and did my homework. I looked you up on here and wanted to see your experience with the site, the questions that you have asked and answered and how long you have been on here.
You have asked two questions and your third posting is a rant, which on Yahoo, would cause the question to be yanked. I tried Yahoo answers and realized the questioners aren't looking for an answer to any questions, but rather, someone to echo their own thoughts and opinions. That is not the search for knowledge and answers. That is merely validation.
The two questions that you did ask were in areas that I have no experience or knowledge of. I will never answer a question that I wasn't sure I could adequately research or answer from my own knowledge and experience. Your answers are no different from any of the answers that the AP contributors offer. Your answers are no better or worse, but are on a par with the vast majority of the regular Askpedians.
I came on this site searching for legal help to a particular problem that I was experiencing. After posting the question, I started to explore the site. I saw hundreds upon hundreds of questions from people who were looking for help and answers. I started answering questions and haven't stopped. 98% of those questions I've answered are not the prize questions. I almost never answer those, so don't think for a moment that that is my motivation. If the best answers I give are to the regulars, it is because I didn't see any newcomers offer an answer to my questions. I will only choose a best answer if I feel that it is the best answer. Just because a person on here is my friend, doesn't mean that they will necessarily have the best answer. I post questions in the hope that I might draw in new people and see how more people think and respond.
Please take a look at my message board if you want to see how I have helped people since I came on this site in March. Those are just the people that wanted to say something to me personally. I have left those postings there deliberately so that newcomers can browse and see if this site truly is of service to the users.
Having stood up for myself, I wish to stand up for the rest of the Askpedians. There are many people who have been on this site far longer than I have, and have answered a numerous questions to the askers' satisfaction. Some of the questions that are on here admittedly are absurd...sometimes they are barely understandable, but if we feel that we can answer them, or at least lead them in the right direction to find an answer, we do.
We have people on this site who are from all walks of life, who have their own area of knowledge and experience that help to create an interesting perspective to the questions asked. We also have become acquainted with each other over time as we see the answers given by regulars which has caused us to start asking questions in an effort to get to know each other, and just have fun. We have learned to trust each other to the point of knowing who to direct questions to if we feel that the contributor is the best source of the answer. We are, in short, a family of sorts.
I'm sorry that this comeraderie has offended you, but I will not apologize for the family that I have become a part of on here. We are a motley crew for sure, but we have fun, support each other and genuinely care about each other and the people we try to help.
I hope that you will take a step back and reassess your views and rethink your position. I hope that you will be as open minded as you want us to be and try again. I'm willing to give you another chance if you're willing to give us one.

I have a simple answer for you and it's this - If you don't like the site, don't user the site... simples.

Also I'd like to echo the voices of others who disagree entirely that we are out for ourselves or looking for the paid questions....
personally I have a friggin job which does quite well paying the bills, without one dollar (I use pounds anyway so what good is a crappy dollar to me?) here and there.

personally the only reason I'm here, I wanted an answer to a question... again, simple... I got one, and since haven't asked any others... I've been answering.... mostly to pass time, but there are a lot of people here who genuinely do want to help and if they didn't, then why do they go to such lengths to provide in depth, researched answers??.... numbskull.
