Generally speaking...and it's "GENERALLY speaking...I think people who consider themselves "experts" are full of crap.
Even if you know a LOT about a certain subject, things are constantly changing.
I've had customers tell me that they were told this or that about wine by, "an expert", and then they learned that the "expert" was wrong. I tell them, "Anyone who tells you they are an 'expert' when it comes to wine...is lying."
Yes! It's a wonder I didn't get strangled long ago! I've mellowed out somewhat with age but I still get carried away sometimes - it's a work in progress!

I try to keep it in check, especially on here. It's easy for me to get riled up about people's questions (and answers) on subjects that are best left to the professionals and not to the average Joe's online.
