Why is the "pointy end of a plane called the cockpit?
Why do Airports have such fatalistic terminology such as... Final Departure Lounge and Terminal etc. Sure conduceive to making you want to fly???

ha ha ha The pointy end is called the cockpit because that's where the king dick cocks sit and it is a pit because it is enclosed.Woman were never allowed to be airline pilots because they get their periods.I think Departure and Terminal used to sound very flash in the 60's & 70's but from what we've seen,you have a good point,those words could be changed.And don't you hate it when you "board" and the first thing they do is run through what to do in case of an emergency!!!...

Since the cockpit is the flight deck where the flight crew sit, I think it's sexist! There are lots of female pilots! Shouldn't there be vagina pits for them? The final departure lounge should have coffins instead of chairs, and serve drinks made with formaldehyde! The terminal staff should pass out oxycodone, and hook everyone up to vodka IV's.
