How to correct very slow internet browsing?

IP is AOL.
Browser: Explorer , safari, firefox-latest versions.
computer : Power Mac G4
DSL: ATT/Yahoo: 3.0/5.0 Mbps
Note: sam e DSL setup on a PC is just fine.

AOL never got along as well with my Mac as it did my PC. I always chalked it up to that.

If you have too many shorcuts on your desktop, this will slow your browser down! Right click, and delete the ones you can easily access on your search bar! Everything will speed up! You shouldn't have anymore than six or seven shortcuts on your desktop at one time! Good luck!
