Guys with blonde highlights...I need input from women/girls!

Do you think it looks gay??? I really want some...I've always thought it looked cool...but I'm affraid that It'll look gay. I've seen straight guys with highlights...but when I told my friend that I wanted them...he told me not to get em' cause he thought it would make me look gay. I need input please! I have a lighter shade of brown hair...I think they'd look pretty cool on me...cause I have short and sorta curly(more wavy than curly) hair...and I faux hawk it. How do you think that'd look???
P.S. I have nothing against gay people! I posted this somewhere else and people thought I was saying that I hated gay people which is wrong...so I thought I'd just make it clear right now. I have friends that are gay...I just don't want to give off that vibe...cause it draws girls away...thats all I was saying above. Thanx for understanding.

Go for it! Its your life anyway and don't let anyone manipulated you because everyone deserve to be happy in their own right.And I think, you got the look so don't waste your time to make an effort for them. Just enjoy for what you are and sooner or later, they will understand you....Godbless
