How will i know when i'm emotionally ready to have a baby?

My husband is 3 years older than me and really wants a baby. I'm not sure if i'm ready or not as i've never been particularly maternal? Will i ever feel ready or should i just go for it. I'm 29 years old?

I don't think too many of us feel very maternal until we actually become mothers ourselves. Then it kicks in with a bang. You'll be shocked at how much love you have stored up inside of you - the kind you can only give to your child. There's nothing to compare it to! Go ahead! Take the plunge! You won't regret it, I guarantee!

I was the same as you an now I have 3 children, the youngest is 6 months old!! I don't think we can ever be prepared emotionally - once baby is born, all your emotions start flooding in all at once!! Enjoy it and God Bless!!

I am a mother of 3 and my first was a big suprise. I didn't really know if I was ready but when you have them and they lay them in your arms it comes to you like a tidal wave. He was absolutely perfect. If you are just worried about not connecting with the baby, dont.
