my sony cyber shot camera is constantly asking to reinsert the memory card, why?

You could have a bad card or bad contacts in the camera. You can buy a 64MB card for about $15 and check to see if it's a card problem or a camera problem. If the new card solves the problem, you just need a new card. If it still gives you the same error message, you may want to have the camera serviced.
