How long will it take for a horses coat to grow after clipping?

I have just had my pony clipped and it is a very rough job with lots of lines and uneven. How long will it take for her summer coat to come thru. It is the first day of spring here, she is well rugged. I am hoping with warmth, grooming and good feed her summer coat should be thru in about 8 weeks. Any suggestions. Thanks

Hair growth occurs in cycles and is influenced by photoperiod and, to a lesser extent, ambient temperature.
