Not a good idea as you have to make sodium hydroxide first, then generate the gas and dissolve it in the NaOH. This is a process that uses equipment costing thousands of dollars and in most places requires the presence of a chemical engineer or technician licensed to work with dangerous processes. It would cost six figures to set up excluding location. Just buy it at the local pool store for a buck, or so, a gallon.
