We all love our pets! Farmers and ranchers depend on animals for their livelihood. We need doctors who specialize in veterinary medicine for that reason!

Domesticated animals would be alot harder to keep alive. So without that we wouldn't have any pets, or horses. No zoo's and many animals would be extinct. Also we wouldn't have lab animals, thus we wouldn't be as scientifically advance as we are now.

1. Your dog/cat may get sick
2. You may want to eat meat or poultry without getting sick yourself
3. You may want to take a pet abroad and need certification or shots
4. If you own a female cat or bitch and don't fancy being inundated with kittens or pups a vet will solve that problem for you one wet Tuesday afternoon.
5. No vets - No horse racing which would upset me....
