How do i get a code back when both keys have dropped their code, without paying through the nose to mazda/ford for a new set of keys?

Sorry to say but you have to go to Ford to get the problem sorted out.You may not need a new code as you still have the keys so it won't cost as much as what you are fearing.Give them a ring on the phone and they will probably know what the problem is before you even take the car in.That will give you an idea as to the cost of it.
