should i give up my job to pursue a full-time degree in engineering?

My job is boring and limited in promotional prospects. I would love to be able to work abroad and travel and earn loads of money. However I will not be earning much while studying for the degree which takes 4 years. Should I go ahead?

This is a question that plagues many people around the country and the world. The answer is not definite and could easily change due to your circumstances, but as it stands, the best thing to do is to get a degree, and engineering is a growing field that is being integrated into almost every business in modern society. If you go into computer or electrical engineering, your prospects for finding a good high paying job ($50,000 or higher starting salary) will go way up.
