Ask him how he is, strike up conversation, etc. Think back to what made you two so crazy about each other in the first place. Try to remind him of that subtly, but don't overdo it.

Second of all, no more lying to him. This should be obvious.

Third of all, this will undoubtedly take some time. If you truly care about him, you're going to need a lot of patience. The irony of trust is that it takes lifetimes to build but merely a moment to obliterate.

Fourth of all, have you apologized to him yet? A sincere apology can do wonders. The operative word here is sincere.

Fifth of all, if worst comes to worst, you should realize that men don't define you. YOU define you. Yes, you care a lot about him, and you may even be in love with him. But this shouldn't hinder you or put the rest of your life on hold. Be strong and independent.
